Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus, found in tropical and sub-tropical climates worldwide. Dengue has become a global problem since the Second World War and is common in more than 120 countries, mainly in Asia and South America. The global incidence of dengue has grown dramatically in recent decades. Dengue fever is ranked by the World Health Organization (WHO) as the most critical mosquito-borne viral disease in the world - and the most rapidly spreading - with a 30-fold increase in global incidence over the past 50 years.
Some common-sense precautions can significantly lower the chances of contracting these and other mosquito borne illnesses. We are all aware of the need to wear loose fitting clothing that covers our limbs when going out and the need to keep our surroundings free of stagnant water. Using mosquito nets, keeping the area around our houses and places of work clean and free of garbage is very helpful too.
Commonly available conventional medicine consists of symptomatic and supportive therapy but there is no specific treatment or anti viral drugs for dengue. Early detection of disease and timely access to proper medical care lowers fatality rates. Maintaining proper fluid balance is very important.
Given the limited number of options for providing any relief in conventional medicine, homeopathy has emerged as an extremely effective mode of treatment.
We at New Life Homeo Care clinic provide effective, safe, fast treatment with the fever disappearing usually in one day followed by other symptoms like rash and joint pains and near total relief in just two to five days. There is a quick cessation of vomiting, bleeding, high fever, pains etc. and a rapid and natural return of platelet counts to normal readings.
Transfusion of blood or platelets rarely needed.
The treatment process is an amalgamation of Isopathy with Homoeopathy. Isopathy (derived from “isos pathos” or “equal suffering”) refers to the use of the exact substance that causes an illness as a therapeutic tool for that same illness. Homeopathy (derived from “homoios pathos” or “similar suffering”) is founded on the principle of similar. In deserving cases, the treatment can safely be integrated with homeopathy/conventional modern medicine, in institutional setup, for a safer and faster recovery. Similarly, patients who are resisting recovery under institutional care can be helped with integrated medicine for better and safer results.
A potential opportunity for Randomized Controlled clinical trials also exists, which could lead a path to benefit patients suffering with Dengue.
International Anti-Dengue Day is observed every year on 15 June.
